We currently have permanent, full-time Registered Nurse opportunities available in our clients “Younger Adults” independent living service in Ayr, Ayrshire. These are permanent positions, working for a respected Care provider who offer the highest standards of care to both the Elderly and Younger Adults. The service offers a multi-unit operation, caring for residents with a varying range of medical conditions.
The Registered Nurse will be based within a newly renovated service currently being commissioned to support Adults under the age of 65 who have diagnosis’s of Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Illnesses, sensory impairments, cognitive impairments and physical impairments. In the younger adult services, they care for residents from the age of 18 upwards to 65 and within the role of Registered Nurse you will be expected to provide person centred and outcome focused care to our residents promoting independence and maximising skills through daily living tasks and living.

Requirements:
* Fully qualified Nurse with a current NMC Registration & NMC Pin
* The right to live & work in the UK
* A minimum 1 years “post qual" Nursing experience
* Experience working with Younger Adults
* The ability to demonstrate initiative in De-escalation & Redirection
* A working knowledge of ECP (electronic care planning)
* Adaptable to your environment & change
* An Understanding of National Care Standards & Codes of Conducts
* A commitment to providing a standard of care that exceeds both company and industry standards.
Role Responsibilities:
* Support service users to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.
* Supporting service users to maximise their skills and encourage independence in as many daily living skills as possible.
* Support service users to make informed decisions which will be beneficial to their health and wellbeing.
* Support service users with the safe administration of medication.
* Support service users to ensure all medical needs are met e.g diabetes management, catheter care and management, stoma care and management (training can be provided if required)
* Work alongside other health and social care professionals to ensure all care needs are met.
* Develop and review care plans and risk assessments.
* Undertake and facilitate care reviews.
* Have good leadership skills to ensure the effective leading of a shift by having the ability to prioritise tasks, delegate tasks, maintain oversight and encourage junior staff to reach their full potential.
* Understand the importance of accurate and detailed documentation and have the ability to complete care records, care plans, risk assessments alongside having good verbal and written communication skills.
