Are you a detail-oriented individual with a strong finance background? Do you thrive in an environment where your skills and experience can make a tangible difference? If so, Team Jak invites you to apply for the position of Finance Assistant at our Livingston Den!

At Team Jak , we provide emotional, social, and practical support for children and young people aged 0-25 with cancer and related illnesses, their families, and friends and those bereaved throughout Scotland.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in our organisation, contributing to the financial health and efficiency of our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. You will be working closely with our team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure their accuracy.
  • Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the finance team with audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical skills and the ability to analyse financial data.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
