Our client, a privately-owned care provider are committed to providing the highest quality of service and ensuring that independence, privacy, dignity, respect and reablement is at the heart of everything they do.

At present, they are looking to attract an experienced Head of Care to assist in all aspects of delivering person centred care within this beautifully proportioned care home in the channel Islands offering nursing and residential care for the frail, elderly and those with dementia.

Staff are highly trained, knowledgeable, empathetic and maintain a stringent and uncompromising standard of care which exceeds both company and industry standards.

The successful candidate will take a clinical lead role and therefore MUST be a qualified nurse holding a current UK NMC Pin. Currently they are unable to provide sponsorship for this post.

The role offers a basic salary up to £70,000 based on a flexible 42 hour week over 7 days, with relocation assistant available as required. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.

This will allow you to ensure delivery of the highest possible standards by:

* Overseeing and assist in all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home appropriate to the clients’ clinical and social needs
* With the help of your team you will create and update individual care plans for our residents; and maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records
* It’s imperative that appropriate staffing levels are maintained through efficient management of rotas
* Drawing on your exceptional clinical and dementia care experience, you’ll provide day to day support and guidance to the team – always mindful of promoting our residents’ independence, choice and dignity
* You’ll build lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as caring about the home itself - fostering a true sense of community
* Creating and developing strong relationships with the multi-disciplinary teams, you will liaise with these partners by maintaining professional and effective lines of communications

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

* A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin; a total commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
* With a real understanding of the benefits that the right nursing care can bring to resident’s lives, you’ll champion independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest quality care to our residents
* You’ll possess up-to-date knowledge of best practice in caring for individuals living with dementia; tissue viability; infection control and care planning
* An effective communicator able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families
* You’re a natural leader, who’s ready to share their clinical experience – leading and mentoring a team, able to delegate effectively and promote excellent customer service and relationships
* Someone with excellent time management who can effectively prioritise their workload
* A respectful and compassionate team player with the belief in giving your personal best at all times
