Clinical Lead Nurse

Our client is currently looking to appoint a Clinical Lead Nurse combining clinical leadership, patient care, and operational oversight to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based services. The postholder develops and maintains clinical protocols, delivers treatments including assessments, venepuncture, IV therapy, and vaccinations, and supports the wider team. They also contribute to staff development, client engagement, and service growth, while flexibly supporting other areas of 
the business as reasonably required.

Role & Responsibilities:

Clinical Protocols and Governance: 

• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical protocols in line with national guidelines 
• Ensure protocols reflect current best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Lead protocol training, implementation, and version control.
• Conduct regular audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Infection Control and Safety:

• Establish and monitor cleaning schedules and infection control protocols.
• Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, cross-infection control, and patient confidentiality.

Clinical Duties:

• Deliver direct patient care, including:
- Conducting health screening consultations and assessments
- Performing venepuncture for diagnostic testing and IV therapy
- Administer IV Vitamin infusions and wellness treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Provide vaccinations 
• Provide oversight and support to the wider team during patient procedures
• Ensure all treatments are delivered safely, ethically and in line with evidence-based practice
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Act as a clinical role model, promoting excellence in patient care and service delivery

Medication and Equipment Management:

• Ensure secure storage systems for medications and implement stock control and expiry monitoring.
• Establish prescribing and dispensing protocols.
• Procure and calibrate diagnostic tools as required and in line with established reporting mechanisms.
• Liaise with external service providers and internal stakeholders to coordinate timely inspections, repairs, and certifications.
• Stock and manage clinic consumables 

Staffing and Leadership:

• Support the selection, induction and development and supervision of clinical staff.
• Lead, manage, and inspire the clinical team to achieve clinic goals.
• Conduct clinical supervision and ongoing staff development.
• Provide training on clinical systems.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Client Engagement and Service Excellence:

• Act as a client-facing representative, promoting the benefits of clinic services.
• Champion a patient-first approach to ensure exceptional care and satisfaction.
• Handle client concerns, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and prompt resolution ensuring that these are effectively reported and escalated on our internal system.

Business Development and Performance:

• Identify opportunities to fulfil additional client treatment needs.
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required, consistent with the role and level of responsibility.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified Registered General Nurse, band 6
• Proven track record of improving service profitability and supporting business growth initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Proven experience in clinical or healthcare management.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Knowledge of clinical governance, infection control, and health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in clinical systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in wellness, preventive health, or health screening services.
• Familiarity with NHS Scotland or private healthcare regulatory frameworks

• Full-time contract of 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday
