Clinical Deputy Manager 

Lead with compassion in Care 

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and highly regarded care provider for an experienced Deputy Manager to join their dedicated team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nursing professional who wants to combine their clinical expertise with strong leadership skills, supporting residents to live with independence, dignity, choice and respect.

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Be a qualified RMN or RGN who has experience with people with learning disabilities.
  • Hold a valid NMC PIN.
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the care home.

You will provide strong leadership to the care team, while also using your nursing expertise to provide specialist support, guidance and advice. You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents receive consistently high standards of care and that the home meets all professional, statutory, regulatory and legal requirements.

You’ll also take responsibility for the home and the care of residents in the absence of the Home Manager, providing confident leadership and ensuring continuity of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect.
  • Ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
  • Providing specialist nursing support, clinical advice and guidance to colleagues.
  • Supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day management and operation of the home.
  • Ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Developing positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervising, coaching and supporting colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of care.
  • Supporting effective care planning and maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across the home.
  • Taking a leadership role in the absence of the Home Manager.

About You

You’ll be a compassionate, resilient and confident nursing professional who genuinely wants to make a difference to the lives of the people you support.

You will have:

  • RGN or RMN qualification with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Previous experience working with people with learning disabilities - essential.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and up-to-date nursing practice.
  • Experience in person-centred care planning, ideally within a care home environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate, coach and support a team.
  • A calm and confident approach when dealing with challenges.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding standards of care.
